Greetings to all!

We have four short days remaining before we depart on the Baja Ha Ha for Cabo San Lucas.  Our time these past weeks has been spent with last minute preparations, and many going-away dinners and parties. Our pals in the Kona Marina gave us a fabulous farewell party on the docks. They brought an industrial sized grill from home and had several blenders working overtime making margaritas. We had a beautiful sunny day, and such a great turnout that the old wooden docks started sinking!!  That is surely the mark of a successful party. We hate to leave our friends. . . that’s the hardest part.

We have met a number of the 138 boats participating in the Ha Ha rally.  It ought to be quite a spectacle as we converge Tuesday morning in the Pacific Ocean across from the landmark Hotel Del Coronado. Most of the boats are so loaded with radar, diving compressors, kayaks, dinghies, and jerry jugs that the waterline has disappeared.  Everyone is excited and anticipating lots of great adventures. We’ll report back to this website when we have more news!!

Adios, amigos!
